Islamic finance certainly offers high growth potential, but this growth can only be realized if the proper regulatory frameworks are created. The creation of well-defined regulatory frameworks will promote greater transparency, bring about higher quality products, and advance the free exchange of ideas. The prospect of capturing a larger share of the Islamic finance market is a powerful incentive for governments to create more standardized regulatory environments.
