The danger of the current system in Wales is that both sides are once again growing restless, as they did in the 1970s. The system of home rule that was meant to preserve the union of Great Britain is having the opposite effect. Until the Welsh and British begin to see eye-to-eye on the actual issues in Wales, the region cannot hope to preserve its fragile stability.
