The cultural transformation we are undergoing has enabled Jordanians to explore all the opportunities our world presents. We are now driven by greater awareness and knowledge; our mentality no longer allows for traditional limitations, which prevented our forefathers from harnessing the tools of innovation, competition, creativity, and resourcefulness. In time, Jordan will become proof to the world that underdeveloped nations do have the capacity to become achievers in the global arena and that skilled Arab and Muslim workers can become active members in the global economy.
By embracing challenges as opportunities and not as obstacles, we have made great strides toward attaining a liberal, modern economy. Jordan has created an environment conducive to competition in a free market. We offer international investors a unique strategic position, a stable political environment, world-class infrastructure and communications, qualified and modernized human resources, a high standard of living, and an overall attractive business climate that is supported by a partner-based public sector.
We have made great progress in charting the path for other Arab and Muslim countries that have similar cultures, mindsets, opportunities, and challenges, and hope to become engaged with and to participate in the modern global world. We have managed to create a unique disposition that meshes our cultural identity and core Arab and Muslim beliefs with advanced and modern economic trends, proving that the fruits of economic openness and liberalization are not solely for Western nations and cultures, but are universally available to all nations and cultures, irrespective of religion, race, or creed.
